In your group, find out what are the different types of infographic + the kind of information they’re applicable for + an example for each identified type.
1. Choice of typeface: not suitable with content, a very common typeface that is not appealing to readers.
2. Visuals: too many illustrations, and the colours are monotonous and dull, which does not improve the overall infographic.
3. Colour choice: monotonous and dull.
4. Information: missing subtitle, data arrangement can be better to convey the message/ information.
Rating and review of the online tool (Canva):
Difficulty, intuitiveness: 8/10
Canva is a user-friendly application with a drag-and-drop interface. It is easy to understand and operate with a good workspace. All the essential tools for designing are provided.
Usefulness: 9/10
One of the significances of using Canva is the wide choice of font and the ease to edit with text boxes. It also includes snap guidelines for aligning the elements and text. Users can also search for related icons or elements in the search bar, making the entire design process more convenient and efficient.
Templates: 7/10
There is a variety of templates to choose from, with multiple categories including a colour palette and style. The templates also come with recommended sizes when users try to search on the keywords.
